Motherhood is … I can’t fill in the blank here because we would be here until the end of time. But it is always such a special type of photo session when you are photographing a mother with her children. Mommy and me sessions can be fun, chaotic, annoying (sometimes our kids just pull out some weird stuff when it’s picture time), and they can also be really magical. It doesn’t always feel like it at the time but with this lifestyle session in this Utah apple orchard really captured the connection and some of the craziness that makes motherhood beautiful. The hammock hanging in the orchard brought in a casual and relaxed vibe and the kids loved lounging in it.

The reason this is such a good option is because it comes with such a variety of scenery, usually water, mountains, and a variety of landscapes. This family session in downtown Salt Lake City was a dream. It was so beautiful to see how much Kailee and Jaron were in love with their babies and how much safety their babies found in being with them. There is magic that you feel walking through a family’s space that they have created for themselves to hold their family, to create in, to weave memories together and it’s always a joy to create photos within that space. We ended our session with some photos for Kailee, who is an INCREDIBLE painter.
