Payson Utah Temple Wedding | Documentary Wedding Photographer
This was such a gorgeous windy wedding day at the Payson, Utah temple. There’s nothing like a moody sky and a nice breeze to help create documentary-style wedding photos. Throw a little rain in there and it’s the perfect cocktail. If you look closely, you’ll be able to see the veil flying out of the bride’s hair and landing into a little tree right after their temple exit. I love the storytelling aspect of wedding days and felt like I was able to really focus on that as I assisted Shaylei Halling Photo in photographing this temple wedding in Payson, UT (her work is gorgeous btw, and she is a fellow Nikon shooter, so that alone makes her super cool). I mostly helped her with gathering groups of people and putting them on deck for when it would be their turn for their photos. But I loved being able to be on the sidelines and shoot the moments that happen in between all the posing and gathering. Those are always my favorite photos. I was just able to spend a brief amount of time with this couple and family, but I enjoyed each person I was able to talk with and get to know just a bit. We all have stories to tell, sometimes with words, and sometimes with photos and it’s really cool to me to be invited to be a part of someone’s wedding day, one of the biggest days of their lives.
