There are multiple reasons to do a photoshoot as a couple in your home or apartment and there are also a variety of ways to incorporate an at home shoot as well, one of my favorites being as a pre-wedding, or post-wedding/honeymoon shoot. This allows the dust to settle from the wedding and give just the two of you some time together to soak each other in and celebrate your relationship. Photo session at home or in your honeymoon suite can feel very relaxed, and natural, and have an intimate, romantic feel to them. It’s a great time to create some unique images because each couple’s home is different and unique to them. You can try some different posing ideas, from playful, to more relaxed, and candid for your home couples photoshoot.
This past summer I got to spend some time with Jes and Bryce at a super cool AirBnb for an intimate in home couples session. I was super inspired by this home, it's historic vibe, and architecture, and also fell in love with the bathtub. When I asked Jes and Bryce if they were up for ending our session in the tub they were all for it. It's so fun to collaborate with couples where you can bring your ideas together and create something magical. I loved seeing the bond these two had and being able to photograph it in a unique way for them.
