Romantic, elopement in the Provo Utah mountains with beautiful rich florals, and soft greenery. This styled shoot had the most beautiful colors and a wedding dress with such pretty movement to it.

Kelsey and Travis’s intimate, destination wedding at the Bonneville Salt Flats remains one of the highlights of 2021. There was such a beautiful focus on enjoying the entire process, going with the flow, and really being present in the whole experience and it was a joy to photograph. We connected over our love for movement and candid, documentary style photos, as well as a love for black and white images, which was definitely a focus throughout the entire photographic experience.

The day started out at the Hyatt Central Park City on a typical October day in Utah with a light sprinkling of rain. Surrounded by mountains and storm clouds, Kelsey and Travis each got ready in their own rooms, surrounded by beautiful details of raw edged wooden mirrors, aspen wallpaper, and soft touches of gold as they prepared for a first look before everyone headed out to the Salt Flats.

Snow Canyon, near St. George Utah, is one of the most beautiful places and if you are looking for a beautiful outdoor location to get married, put this place on your “Utah Wedding Location Ideas” list. We visit at least once a year, especially in the winter because it’s not as cold as Norther Utah. One of the most magical experiences I’ve had was standing on top of the Petrified Sand Dunes in January, above the clouds, with views of red rocks, cliffs, and lava rock. Stunning and serene are the two words that come to mind—two words that are so fitting for an elopement or intimate wedding with your favorite people.

Something I love about wedding photography is that you get to design your day. There is no perfect way, and what suits one couple will be totally different than what suits another. This small, intimate backyard Utah wedding was so beautiful, so intentional, and so meaningful. Amanda and Devin were so down to earth, and so real about exactly what they were wanting their wedding day to look like. They were all about having their most cherished family members to celebrate with them (including their dog babies) and you can really see the deep connection they have with one another. Amanda and Devin has recently lost a grandfather which really played a role in the importance of a simple micro wedding without all the fluff. They also brought in a killer officiant who spoke beautiful words over them in love and support. This summer wedding was hot as hell, but we all got through it and the memories created will last forever.

Samm and Caz celebrated an elopement in the red rock desert landscape of Moab last Fall. Moab is one of the most gorgeous Utah locations with epic scenery, plenty of opportunities for adventure, and also lots of spaces and nature settings that are intimate and romantic.

When it comes to Utah, there is no shortage of killer locations to choose from. One of the locations Utah is known for is the Bonneville Salt Flats and is such a great place to elope. With its wide open landscape and minimal background, the salt flats have a modern, magical vibe. This elopement started out at a nearby location in a rocky field of boulders and ended on the Salt Flats with an almost full moon in the background.

Couples put so much time and intention into planning their wedding day and part of that planning is to create an experience for their wedding guests. While I love highlighting couples since the main focus of the day is about them, I wanted to do a post that highlighted the wedding guests since they are also a part of what makes up the story of the day.

There’s one thing about Utah—there is no shortage of GORGEOUS places to get married. Tressa and Brody chose to get married at Log Haven, a beautiful lodge venue nestled in the mountains of Millcreek, Utah.

This gorgeous, intimate wedding with Chad and Ashley’s close friends and family was perfect inspiration for anyone looking to plan an adventure wedding or elopement in Utah. The natural landscape was the perfect setting with a beautiful overlook of Zion’s National Park.

This wedding at the Startup Building in Provo, Utah had such awesome industrial details, giving a modern, laid-back vibe. The warm brick, wooden posts, and hanging lights created the perfect setting for a casual, relaxed wedding day.

Romantic, moody bridal session at Jolley’s Ranch in Springville, Utah. The VW Van and fresh daisies along with the cookies with pressed flowers added the perfect bohemian twist to this laid back session in the mountains.

I did a little experiment and compared a Canon to a Nikon during a styled shoot on the Salt Flats and these are my thoughts.
