There’s one thing about Utah—there is no shortage of GORGEOUS places to get married. Tressa and Brody chose to get married at Log Haven, a beautiful lodge venue nestled in the mountains of Millcreek, Utah. Storm clouds were looming, but we didn’t see a drop of rain. Before the ceremony, Tressa’s sister Christy helped her touch up the makeup that she walked Tressa through via facetime. Her mom helped her into her dress and smoothed it out the way moms do. Her cute niece, Viv, slipped through the door into the dressing room to watch.
The ceremony took place in a grove of pine trees with Tressa’s sister as the officiant, surrounded by their closest people who came together to celebrate with them. All the details—the dress, hair, florals, suit, etc.—came together so perfectly for a romantic, modern wedding in the mountains. I loved how they created such a meaningful experience for themselves, keeping some wedding traditions, while doing some things non-traditionally.
It’s always such an to be able to be a part of such an amazing day in a couple’s lives, and create the photographs that become memories long after the day is over. A lot of people wonder if you can get married in the mountains in Utah, and the answer is YES! There are several mountain wedding venues, and also tons of gorgeous locations that you can elope. Some of them are easy to get to, and some may require a bit of hiking, but there are plenty of options.
