I had the honor of documenting this dreamy maternity session of Leah in Saratoga Springs, Utah. The beginning of motherhood is magical, whimsical, and a time of deep reflection. There are so many maternity photo shoot ideas out there ranging from lots of props to keeping it very minimal. I tend to resonate with the minimal, natural, earthy approach. This maternity session implemented soft, pretty florals with a neutral color palette, minimal, earth-toned clothes in a setting with water and tall, soft, yellow grass.

It was so beautiful to see how much Kailee and Jaron were in love with their babies and how much safety their babies found in being with them. There is magic that you feel walking through a family’s space that they have created for themselves to hold their family, to create in, to weave memories together and it’s always a joy to create photos within that space. We ended our session with some photos for Kailee, who is an INCREDIBLE painter.
